These are now only the remains of a cathedral that was originally built in the 16th century. They were officially incorporated as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Centre of Macau in 2005. There are many carvings such as Jesuit images. These have Oriental themes. For example, you can see a woman trampling a hydra with seven heads. Chinese characters describe this as ‘ Holy Mother tramples the heads of the dragon.’
Looks really nice! Is it near from the city?
Thanks!
Everything is very close in Macau, the terrain is mainly flat with some hilly areas.
